Research and Technical Investigations #

Areas I am studying through postgraduate work, practical experimentation, and technical reading.

Current Research #

Master of Cybersecurity #

My current postgraduate research considers privacy-preserving approaches to third-party cloud-compliance assessment. Because the work is still active, I am intentionally keeping the research questions, proposed design, and evaluation details private until the thesis has been assessed.

Read the brief research note.

Research Interests #

Applied Cryptography and Privacy #

Zero-knowledge proofs, homomorphic encryption, secure multi-party computation, trusted execution environments, and their practical use in privacy-preserving systems.

Topics I want to explore next:

  • Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) — hardware-isolated execution and the trust and attestation assumptions it introduces;
  • zk-STARKs — transparent proof systems, scalability, and the trade-offs compared with succinct proof systems that use trusted setup; and
  • Secure Multi-Party Computation (SMPC) — collaborative computation where participants do not reveal their private inputs.

Notes will be added as individual investigations mature; these are research interests rather than claims of production expertise.

Platform and Cloud Security #

Cloud identity, policy as code, security guardrails, compliance evidence, and ways to make secure platform workflows usable by engineering teams.

Practical case studies and research notes will be linked here over time.

Network and Systems Security #

Software-defined networking, SD-WAN, traffic inspection, intrusion detection and prevention, and small reproducible security labs.

Lab notes will be added selectively when they are useful and repeatable.
